Magnum Opus

It is a Latin phrase. Magnum means “great” while Opus means “work”. It is equivalent to French word chef-d’œuvre”. It etymologically means, the largest, best, or greatest achievement of an artist. For example, ‘My Experiment with Truth’ was his magnum opus of Mahatma Gandhi.
